FAQS
Everything you need to know before booking, collecting, posting, returning, and caring for your RMN hire.
How do I hire?
If you wanted to direct book, simply pick a hire item you would like to wear, select the event date, read the terms and conditions and checkout! You have the option for local collection or express postage.
Can I book in advance?
Yes! More than welcome to book in advance or for the upcoming weekend! Just read T&Cs and make sure you're aware of the policies.
Do you have a physical store?
Yes! We have a hidden gem located on Semaphore Road in Adelaide. By appointment only.
Can I try on an item before booking?
Yes, I offer try-on appointments for FREE, located in Semaphore, SA. Head to my booking system to see all times available.
Can I do a postal try on?
Yes! More than welcome to do this, however, I charge it as a normal hire. This is because it will be out of my hands for that time period and not in store available for others to try on or hire, so no discounts are applied. However, this will count in your loyalty system.
Can I get a hire item express posted?
Yes, express post is available to everyone within Australia. Select this option upon checkout. $35 express postage (this includes a return satchel inside with your hire).
Can I collect earlier than the date I selected on the booking system?
Yes! On the product page, it states: You will be able to collect two days before the event date. Generally, clients can collect two days before the event date and return two days after the event date. This allows a recovery day after your event if needed.
What happens if my event is cancelled?
Unfortunately, no refunds are given. If you notify RMN 7 days before your event, a credit note can be given, however $30 will be deducted from the total cost as a cancellation fee.
What if I change my mind about my booking?
Unfortunately, a change of mind or sizing issue will not be refunded. Depending on when the change occurs and for what reason, it can be a straight swap. Again, if 7 day notice is given it can be credit noted and used on something else.
Can I extend my hire?
Yes, of course. RMN HIRE super flexible, just message on Instagram to get into contact and happy to work out something with an extended hire. Cost may or may not apply.
What sizes do you stock?
RMN stocks from sizes 6 (XS) to 14 (XL). Always looking to expand sizes, and open to suggestions.
What if the item I booked doesn't fit?
Highly recommend coming in to try on if you are local to avoid disappointment. RMN does not refund or credit note for sizing issues.
What are my local collection options?
Upon checkout, you have the option of Largs Bay 5016 or Fulham 5025, depending on the day. This gives the client the option if in need of a pick up spot further north/east or further south/east.
When do I return the hire item?
Two days after the event date, unless a Sunday or mid-week hire. The most common example, Saturday hires are due back Monday latest, Friday hires are due back Sunday latest. However Sunday hires are due back Monday latest and it is preferred for midweek hires to be returned the next day, but this can be discussed.
What should I do if I spill something on the dress?
Don't stress, just notify RMN and receive instructions depending on the spillage. More than likely, clear alcohols or liquids are fine in the cleaning process, more so red wine or coloured drinks.
I've damaged my hire, what do I do?
No stress, we understand things can happen! However, please notify RMN so we can address this issue asap. Generally, our main damages have been in the lower hem of a dress or skirt, which can be easily repaired at a small cost. Any major damage that is not repairable may need to be replaced at the clients expense.
Can I wear fake tan when hiring?
Yes, you may! Any foam wash-off tan is accepted! Please make sure it is washed off 24 hours before wearing your hire. We do not accept gradual moisturisers, one-day tans, or any tanning product that doesn't require the wash-off process. Any questions always welcome to direct message.
What if tan residue is left on the hire after wearing?
If the correct tan is applied and the process is followed, most tan stains come out (depending on the colour of the hire).
What happens if I return my hire late?
There is a late fee per day not returned of $22. If needing an extended hire date please discuss with RMN prior.
Will there be wear or damage to the hire I book?
All damages, or slight wears to an item will be included in the description of the product. It is the clients responsibility to read this and be aware. Please note it is a hire business, most items have been worn and have general wear, nothing noticeable and will be stated if noticeable.
Is a bond required?
Nope! RMN do not take bonds, you will pay full when booking and that is it! Unless cleaning fee, late fee or cancellation fee etc.
Do I need to wash the item before returning?
No, please do not wash the items before returning. All hire costs include the cleaning prices. If additional cleaning is needed, fees may apply.
How do I return locally?
You will be messaged on Instagram details for return. Please return in the hire bag given.
How do I return via post?
If you have a weekend hire, your hire is due back before 1pm on Monday. If midweek, it is due back next day, unless discussed. Please take the prepaid satchel provided into the post office and lodge over the counter and then receive a receipt. No road side post boxes, mis postage may incur in a fee if delays are caused.
Can I return my hire via post in a road side box?
No! Please do not do this. Via post office counter lodgement only. Fee will apply if posted incorrectly and causing a delay.
Can you help me select a dress? Not sure what would suit my theme/dress code!
Yes! Message on Instagram. My messages are always open for any questions!
Can I see clients wearing the dresses?
Yes! More than likely the images used are clients, otherwise best to head to my Instagram for this. Posts or story highlights of clients are available.
Is dress hire cheaper than buying?
Yes, for sure. More than likely hiring a dress is a third if not less of the retail cost! You don't have to worry about washing the item and you can return and that is it! On the the next outfit!
What to wear as a wedding guest?
Depending on the dress code of the wedding (cocktail, garden florals or black tie) this can be easily selected via our themed categories on the website. Wear something you're comfortable in and weather appropriate. Avoid whites (obvi!) and if you are worried you can always check with the bride about bridesmaid colours if you want to avoid that too! Red sometimes is avoided but can be definitely be worn to a wedding in my opinion. Think of cocktail as a less dressy version of black tie, and think garden themed as florals and spring colours. Always available to help, dm me.
